Combat Search and Rescue Tool Liner-Lock Folder

Feb. 12, 2010

First result from the collaboration Buck Knives has forged with TOPS Knives provides solid evidence that blending the talents of two Idaho knifemakers can produce a series of knives designed to be reliable tools for those who protect and serve our country and its residents.
In their first knife, the Model CSAR-T liner-lock folder, the collaborators have combined features and benefits for which these two firms have long been known and respected. It has a tough G10 handle that is a variation on those from Buck's rugged Bravo and Bravo Rescue models, and a solid 0.065-inch liner.
The TOPS-designed blade is a 3 1/2 inch modified Tanto blade, made of 0.175 inches thick, high-grade ATS 34 stainless steel. For performance, the blades are heat-treated to the exacting standards of world famous heat-treater Paul Bos, and finished with Buck's advanced Edge2x technology that makes the blade sharper out of the box, hold an edge longer and easier to re-sharpen. There are several carrying options, with a reversible steel clip for pocket or belt, and a sheath is also available.
Adding versatility to the CSAR-T, there is a optional tool kit available. This handy kit includes a hex driver, which attaches securely to the compatible socket on the end of the knife handle, along with multiple bits and screwdrivers.
